Stephen Franey

Stephen graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science from University of Ulster in 1998 before completing a MSc in Environmental Engineering in Queens University in 1999. Stephen joined Causeway Geotech as a Geoenvironmental Engineer in 2013 when the company was still in its infancy. Prior to this, Stephen worked for over 10 years as an environmental consultant for WYG and URS in Dublin, London and Belfast. Stephen’s role sees him managing several projects at any one time, where he is responsible for everything from preparation of Health and Safety documentation, coordinating access arrangements with clients, liaising with clients, consulting engineers, site engineers and drilling crew through the site works and preparation of laboratory test schedules and reports for issue to consulting engineers and clients. Stephen is a strong believer that it takes cooperation between all the links in the chain to make the cogs turn and with good team effort everyone life is made much easier. As a resident of the North-east coast of Ireland, Stephen enjoys the outdoor life in the coast and Glens of Antrim with his family in his leisure time.
